Chapter 5 Religion and Faith

Inner Power of Belief

The most powerful resource in the human mind is the capacity to believe in something greater than the self. This inner spiritual power can support every stage of life, but it becomes especially important during the most difficult trials and life crises. Religious belief and personal faith can provide daily energy, a sense of belonging to a community, moral guidance, and, above all, a deep inner peace. At its highest and most intense level, this inner peace can transform a person into a vast ocean, where the waves move only on the surface while the depths remain wonderfully calm and undisturbed.

Evolution of Religion and Spiritual Traditions

Discussions about present or past organized religions often overlook the fact that they are the result of only a few thousand years of religious evolution and spiritual development. Many contemporary religions have attached themselves to much older spiritual customs, sacred practices, and ancient beliefs, transforming them into various religious holidays, festivals, and rituals. In essence, they have assimilated earlier traditions in a process sometimes called religious integration or syncretism, often with the goal of attracting new followers and strengthening religious identity. The more impressive and emotionally powerful the ritual or celebration, the more people were targeted, inspired, and drawn in.

Human Influence on Religious Systems

Religions are created or significantly shaped by human beings and human culture. One of the strongest arguments for this is the idea of religious uniqueness and absolute truth. Almost every major religion claims that only its teachings are fully true and that the only real creator is the one it worships. Other religions are then portrayed as false or incomplete, and those who follow them are often described as destined for various forms of punishment or torment in different versions of hell or spiritual separation. A second major argument is that religious institutions are led and organized by people, who then teach this supposed unique truth to other people, passing on doctrines, sacred texts, and religious laws.

From External Religion to Inner Faith

Religion, spirituality, and faith are not simply lessons to be memorized; they are experiences to be felt and lived. Genuine belief does not arise only from arguments heard, repeated, or imposed from outside by religious authorities or traditions. Authentic faith grows from an inner decision, a personal process in which good and bad are weighed, ideas are examined, and then a clear statement can be made: “I believe.” This marks the transition from external religion to inner faith and personal spirituality. It involves a conscious mental journey, guided by individually established rules, values, and ethical principles. A rational person seeks verified information, trustworthy data, and honest reflection before making such a decision, allowing belief to be both heartfelt and thoughtfully chosen.

Believe in yourself - part I -

Why believing in yourself changes everything

Believing in something becomes truly powerful when it starts with self-belief. Believing in yourself means trusting that whatever you do and however you do it, you will manage, for better or worse. There is no need to break the unity of your being through constant regrets. Thoughts like “I’m sorry I didn’t do that” or “I was so stupid to do that” become a toxin of self-distrust. From one small regret today and another tomorrow, distrust accumulates until it becomes so strong that every new activity is met with hesitation and fear of self-disappointment.

The encouraging part is that nothing is irretrievably lost. Understanding that no situation in life will ever be repeated in exactly the same way reveals the uniqueness of every experience and every memory. Each moment is unique because tomorrow, even if something similar happens, a day has already passed and the person living it has changed. It is no longer a completely new story, just like a movie watched for the second time that inevitably loses some of its original charm.

Self-forgiveness, rules, and inner strength

When doubt is removed and self-belief is embraced with all the heart and all the strength, it becomes possible to move mountains in life. Regrets can be cleared through forgiveness. Self-forgiveness means making a promise to always forgive, no matter what has been done or how one has behaved. This does not cancel the need for personal rules and boundaries. On the contrary, it is important to have the strictest and clearest principles possible.

What truly matters is the response when those principles are broken. The task is to regroup, forgive, and return to the chosen path. It is essential to pay attention to the pattern: rule, exception, rule. Too many exceptions to a rule slowly transform the exceptions into the new rule, while the original rule becomes the rare exception.

Turning failures into steps forward

Clearing regrets and doubts opens the way to genuine self-trust, the kind of trust that brings satisfaction with every effort, no matter how imperfect it may seem. When a long staircase appears ahead and the mind starts questioning the ability to reach the top, it helps to focus only on the next step. Before even starting to climb, there is no risk of falling from the ladder, because the first step has not yet been taken. The same principle applies to failures.

On this staircase of life, it is possible to fall one step or to fall all the way down. When the fall is only one step, the direction back is clear and the way to return to the previous level is easy to see. When the fall is complete, there are still two important advantages: the entire path is now known, and it is no longer possible to fall lower than before. From that point on, there is only room for growth, progress, and improvement ahead.

Believe in Yourself – Part II

Why Self-Belief Matters

The first and most important step in personal growth is belief. Belief in yourself. There are countless reasons to develop strong self-confidence and inner trust. A few are listed here, and many more can be discovered by exploring, reflecting, and identifying the necessary and sufficient reasons to truly believe in yourself.

The Incredible Intelligence of the Body

First argument. Slowly clench the fingers into a fist and notice what a smooth and elegant movement appears. All the fingers move in a synchronized direction, with a certain force, all coordinated by an inner decision. During this simple action, the eyes blink. So the body does not only move the fingers.

At the same time, breathing continues. Air rich in oxygen is drawn from the environment, processed through the lungs, and sent to every tissue in the body, including the fingers that are moving now. In parallel, the body digests the last meal, filters toxins, cleanses and strengthens organs, and extracts nutrients.

What an organism does every second is fantastically complex, and this organism is alive. It is time to acknowledge being alive, to recognize that there are processes the subconscious manages separately from rational thought—and manages them very well. Most processes are handled by the subconscious, and only a small part by the rational mind. It is necessary to accept being an organism that already performs fabulous, sophisticated things every moment.

Body, Mind, and Hidden Potential

If it is said that the body knows what to do, it is important to remember that the body is not separate. The body and the mind form a team, a unified whole. Even without consciously knowing the complexity of the processes taking place right now, there is still pride in them.

This raises an essential question: how can it be known that something cannot be done? How can it be known that it is impossible to continue, or that a challenge is too hard? There is no full awareness of how much is already being done, how much more can be done, or the true potential and capacity to adapt. This uncertainty invites doubt about limitations and opens space for self-belief.

The Power of Ancestry and Inner Strength

Every person is the result of generations and generations of people who have lived, learned, and genetically passed on their experience. It is not only about grandparents, but also about distant ancestors who lived 100,000 years ago or even 1,000,000 years ago. The same bloodline flows from the time when ancestors raised mammoths and fought saber-toothed tigers, when there were no countries and cities, only villages and fairs, and when justice had to be won in battle.

Those ancestors lived, learned, and passed their strength and wisdom down the bloodline until it reached the present. Imagine drawing a line on paper and placing a genealogy on that sheet. It is already written in the blood. Picture a story beginning in the year 97,800, when an ancestor met a life partner. What was that ancestor doing, and where?

Perhaps that person was a shepherd, a hunter, or something else entirely. The meeting might have taken place at a celebration, a festival of the moon and stars. Maybe it was a brief love story, or maybe it continued until the next festival, when they gathered again, danced, and decided to stay together. They might have searched for a clearing in an oak forest, built a home there, loved each other, and raised three children.

Those children grew up, became adults, and went out into the world to write their own stories. The elders remained in their home until the earth called them to pay their debt and rejoin the whole. This bloodline can be imagined as beginning 3 million years ago, a continuous chain of survival, adaptation, courage, and learning. This heritage is a powerful reason to believe in inner strength and personal potential.

Reflecting on Inner Knowledge

It is valuable to pause for a moment and reflect on what a human being truly is and how much knowledge, wisdom, and instinct are hidden in the body and mind. This quiet reflection can become a foundation for deeper self-belief, resilience, and personal transformation.

Hyperglycemia, i.e. increased glucose concentration in the blood and urine (glycosuria) above normal limits. Daily insulin doses can be reduced after long-term treatment with medicinal plants or teas only after medical laboratory tests have been performed.

Plants with weakly alkaline, anti-inflammatory, healing and soothing active principles are recommended. Infusions and decoctions are usually drunk unsweetened and preferably between meals.

Mistletoe (Viscum album): a sacred plant in ancient cultures
Among many ancient peoples, and especially among the Druids, mistletoe (Viscum album) was revered as a sacred plant. The presence of this evergreen shrub on trees was interpreted as a sign from the gods, and the bird that circled around it was considered a messenger from heaven. Ceremonies...

Religion - part I -

Religion, eternal life and the cycle of existence

Religion often raises questions about which faith is best, which is true, and which promises the greatest reward of life after death – eternal life. To call one religion the best would require comparing them all. To call one religion the true one would require fully living each path, yet there is only one lifetime. As for the promise of life after death, this is present in all spiritual traditions in different forms.

The flow of vital energy and life after death

Life after death can be understood as a universal gift of all living organisms, in which vital energy flows like a holy spirit. This gift follows a fundamental rule of the planet, a law of life and death in which matter and energy constantly transform. When the energy of life leaves the body, the physical form begins to decompose into the substances from which it was created, so that the natural cycle can continue.

After separating from the body, vital energy enters a vast sea of energy, from which it will later take on new matter and begin a new life cycle. In this sense, existence never truly ends, and death becomes a gateway through which transformation takes place rather than a final end.

Consciousness of vital energy

Among the many themes related to religion, spirituality and the afterlife, one important topic is the consciousness of vital energy. The question is whether this vital energy can become conscious energy. The answer is yes: vital energy can evolve into conscious energy, and rational awareness can pass into the next cycle together with all accumulated knowledge and experience.

This transformation takes place through consciousness – through awareness of accumulated knowledge, both personal and universal, and through connection with the wider field of energy consciousness. Spiritual growth and the upgrading of consciousness are usually achieved through perseverance, inner work and the ability to endure suffering over time.

Individual paths of spiritual development

The higher consciousness climbs, the more it discovers about existential questions and the most suitable way to approach them. Each living organism is unique and follows a specific path of development. For this reason, spiritual evolution, understanding of religion, and the experience of eternal life and energy are always deeply personal, even when they are described through shared concepts and teachings.

Religion - part II -

About the heavenly father, you may wonder if he exists or not. The answer is: yes. He exists. He created the world with billions of stars, planets, comets including the earth and he also created man not literally but by adding the optimal elements of creation. Evolution as a species was established as the target, the objective of each race, and the perpetuation of the race as a minimum obligation. The Heavenly Father is the creator of everything and is found in everything, that is why every thing around you has a divine part polished through evolution. In fact, this is your goal: Evolution. The presence of consciousness is proof that you have evolution as your objective. That is why the Heavenly Father left a path to follow both individually and as a species.

In various religions, if you listen to the words spoken during the most common rituals, you will understand other steps to follow. Blessed are those who suffer because they will inherit the kingdom of heaven. Suffering is how we become stronger, they are actually trials of life that strengthen you and make you stronger and wiser. It is not said that all those who suffer will inherit the kingdom of heaven. So only some will be able to carry the path to the end. Suffering is both physical and psychological and you must face them all, overcome them, learn from them and bring you strength.

In religion, the indications to follow and the path are carefully hidden. The path is not pleasant. It is hard, it is long but it is worth it. Unfortunately, over the years, religions have become commercial, religious discourse has included money, earthly value and now it has become deeply and perhaps irremediably distorted. The Heavenly Father appears as a jukebox with surprises that people go to and ask to be given things. The desacralization of the divine is done by throwing it into the profane. 2000 years ago, there was a completely different discourse, a ritual and a different conception. There were symbolic or not so symbolic sacrifices. Old civilizations were destroyed by new religions and assimilated as part of the ritual to obtain followers. The paying followers represent the financial strength of the church. When everything comes down to money, the basic idea no longer matters. This is what the church has become now. The Heavenly Father asked for evolution, consciousness, awareness, but these require time, dedication, perseverance and the work of knowledge, understanding and acceptance. Man thought that it was better to create money and then try to buy that. Unfortunately, these qualities are not for sale. There is no shortcut, there is no option to cheat or cut corners. These qualities are earned. The old stories about people who gave up all the wealth they had and went to the monastery. They went to evolve, they understood how little material things mean and they chose to dedicate themselves to evolution. Ascetics who retreated to the mountains alone to meditate on what matters. They are not crazy people, and anyone who has had the opportunity to know them will confirm this. They are people who are trying to develop consciousness, faith and awareness.

You can be too if you dedicate time to it. If not now, maybe in the next cycle of life and death. You have enough time and yet you have no time at all. Too little if you want to know and too much if you don't.
